The Sittingbourne & Milton Regis branch Chairman Mr Steffan Jordan, senior Poppy Appeal Organiser, Mr Dennis Austen and the Deputy Poppy Appeal Organiser, Mrs Sue Gent visited the Pine Lodge Care Centre to give a short awareness talk about The Royal British Legion and what it does in the community to help ex-service personnel.

The organisers of Pine Lodge, also arranged for the Mayor and Mayoress of Swale, Mr George and Carol Bobbin to attend. The singing duo "Unique" were invited to entertain the residence. After the event, there was a very generous donation to the Poppy Appeal of 80.00p which was the proceeds of the raffle. A thoroughly excellent day was had by all.
